Position Summary with Job Responsibilities

Position Summary:-Product Planning, X01 Product line.

Brief Role Description (one line description including travel if any);- Product Conceptualization and approval till DR0, Competitive Intelligence and External environment capturing and translating product action

Job Profile-

Contribution to planning

Create the view of future by capturing the changing external environment (Customer insight, competition, duty structure, regulatory and technology trends) through competitive intelligence.

Key actions and decisions (Long term and Short term)

Incorporate inputs from the strategy and business development team into product planning.
Incorporate inputs from customer quality CFTs and field inputs – both through field services team.
Work with Market research team (external and internal) to bring in competitive intelligence and market information
Monitor technology trends and prioritize technologies which suits to overall strategic intent and product proposition
Gather inputs wrt Risk management for business and financial risk and develop product plan strategy to absorb the changes in external factor (Competition, oil, technology, forex and duty structure)
Come up with proposals for product variants to be launched based on business priorities and received feedback
Initiate new product business case in collaboration with product Planning Head
Work with Market Research Team to understand customer segmentation & assess sectoral requirements
Propose the new product concept and detail out specifics of product aligned to market requirements
Initiate new product business case in collaboration with product Planning Head
Determine the customer value proposition for the specific product
Incorporate feedback received from customer teams and determine appropriate plan of action for product improvement
Work with product development teams to act on product feedback received.

Education

Degree in Engineering
MBA

Work Experience

Work EXp – minimum 8-10 years of experience

Technical Skills – Knowledge about Gen 3 NPi, Product Budgeting,
