Position Summary with Job Responsibilities
Position Summary: Transmission testing Engineer will be responsible for testing of “Transmission System” for passenger & commercial vehicle applications, both Manual and AMT versions. Scope involves performance and durability testing of transmission assembly, shift mechanism, drive shafts, Gear Shift Quality assessment on vehicle etc.
Job Responsibilities
a) Lead a team of supervisors.
b) Conception and implementation of development tests.
c) Meeting with ERC team, production team and supplier to discuss testing parameters and results.
d) Prepare test plan for Transmission & Transmission aggregates (Gearbox / Transaxle aggregates).
e) Plan and execute test as per test plan
f) Comprehensively documenting test results in report.
g) Derive the accelerated test schedule for the transmission and transmission aggregates from RLD.
h) Evaluate and analyzing test results.
i) Participate & give inputs in DFMEA, IPTV tracking & field correlation tests.
j) Identifying root cause of malfunctions / failure during test or assembly of transmission.
k) Co-ordinate with TML – OTC for test rig and test item management.
l) Development of new Test rig / Test setup for validation of Transmission aggregates.
m) Visit to Supplier and TML – OTC for aggregate development activities.
n) Vehicle level data collection on PV & CV vehicles.
o) IPR idea generation & filling through innovative thinking.
p) Transmission processes development.
q) Maintenance planning for Transmission test rigs.
r) Prepare safety guideline & ensure safety in the related work area using tools like JSA etc.
s) Coordinate with Transmission testing, Prototype and Transmission design team for the assembly of prototype transmission assembly as per plan.
Education
Work Experience
3 ~ 6 years
Preferred Industry-Automotive (PV & CV), Automotive Ancillary, Machine tools etc.
