Position Summary with Job Responsibilities
Job Description: Sr Manager – Localisation, Cost Management & Capacity Management
• Demonstrate the understanding of policy frame work driving the need for localisation
• Work with Government & Public Affair (GPA) team on various policy discussion affecting P&SC and contribute constructively in the advocacy matters
• Able to quickly understand the value chain of varied parts, identify gaps & opportunities to drive deeper localisation
• Prepare and track localisation plan with wider teams and report the status
• Work with Purchase & AQ lead to execute the localisation levels on multiple systems in both– EV and Non-EV scope of vehicle
• Understand the DVA, PLI, FAME, PMP requirements. Ensure P&SC deliverables to comply to these requirements.
• Demonstrate the understanding of cost management principles and various techno commercial levers
• Track the cost movements Pre & post SOP through various forums.
• Work with cost manager to front end P&SC requirements as regards to cost gaps, organise cost events, structure them to track the movement and report status
• Familiarity with various techno commercial levers, value map, value laddering concepts is essential
• Familiarity with Circular Economy principles and be able to drive sustainability initiatives with Supply chain partners.
• Single source of truth for Cycle plans and Volume forecast received from Program, Operation & PPG teams
• Well-versed with capacity principles, take rates, program capacity vs component capacity, manufacturing line layouts, bottlenecks etc
• Track and report capacity status and highlight red flags
• Able to understand bottle necks, work with P&SC to ensure phase wise capacity ramp up plans
Other requirements
• BE/BTech Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics, MBA Supply chain / operations (preferred)
• Experience : 5-10 years
• In depth understanding of Cost Management principles
• In depth understanding of Capacity Management principles
• Commercial acumen with keenness to understand various systems, manufacturing processes
• Able to manage broad set of stakeholders
• Apt communicator and able to represent P&SC in various forums across organisation hierarchy
• Able to decide when to lead and when to be efficient team player
