Work Experience

"Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, Innovation Program Management Research Ecosystem is a highly motivated and experienced individual leading our research ecosystem at the Engineering Research Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and promoting research collaboration across multiple teams, disciplines, and industries. They will be the driving force behind our organization's innovation strategy, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of emerging technologies and trends.
Under this role the, Senior Manager Innovation Program Management Internal Initiatives will have the following responsiblities:
i) Develop and implement a research ecosystem strategy that fosters innovation and collaboration among key stakeholders in the automotive industry, including academia, government agencies, industry partners, and research organizations.
ii) Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the automotive industry to ensure collaboration and alignment with the research ecosystem strategy.
iii) Establish and manage a network of partnerships with research organizations, universities, and industry partners to advance research in the automotive industry.
iv) Identify and pursue research funding opportunities to support the research ecosystem strategy.
v) Lead the planning and execution of research projects, including the development of research proposals, project budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
vi) Supervise and mentor a team of researchers and research administrators to ensure the successful execution of research projects.
vii) Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in the automotive industry and leverage this knowledge to inform the research ecosystem strategy.
In addition to the technical expertise & leadership needed for this role, the person in this role is also responsible for the following: 
1. Resource planning, work efficiency tracking & resource utilization, work forecasting & driving execution for best innovation practices within the industry.
2. Motivating teams to define challenging innovation projects, inspires them for proactive participation & contribution in innovation competitions thereby fostering innovative culture. 
3. Inspiring teams to develop functional & behavioural competencies. Leads from the front to drive employee engagement initiatives.
4. Project planning, revenue, technical know how, budget requirements for every year to ensure seamless execution of various planned initiatives & also ensuring the consistent enhancement of our competencies, capabilities, capacities & readiness to take on upcoming challenges due to changing external environment. 
5. Inspiring teams to strictly adhere to ethics, totally imbibe TATA Code of Conduct, ensure safe work practices while giving credit and respecting innovations whose origins are from the wide world outside TML."
