Position Summary with Job Responsibilities

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
 To advise and assist Corporate Safety Head for supporting Manufacturing entities functional heads involved in planning, organizing, controlling and maintaining a safe, healthy and environment friendly workplace (TML & channel partners).
To fulfill all requirements related to Safety, in alignment with TML standards 
Proactively implement and sustain at all times the requirements as per the Tata Group Health & Safety Management System.
Monitoring , analyzingand improving Proactive Safety Index

SUPPORT FOR SAFETY
 To advise and support the S& H head, in making sure that the company level safety issues to the management and find resolutions.
To support and work closely with the Plant Safety teams, wherever required.
Help corporate head safety to prepare and administer the Revenue budget. Plan, monitor and control expenditures with emphasis on effective delivery at or below budgeted amounts. 
Support Management on effective implementation of all TML Safety systems viz., Road Safety (Defensive Driving), Contractor Safety, LOTO, Machine Guarding etc

ACCIDENT REPORTING, INVESTIGATION & PREVENTION
Ensure all accidents / High potential occurrences (safety/ environment) are reported, investigated by the teams (and be a part of investigation team, if required), and lessons learnt are shared across the all plants.
To upkeep and monitor the system for incidents reporting and investigation.
Monitor statistical summaries of the Manufacturing locations and draw attention to significant trends and occurrences. 

PROACTIVE SAFETY INDEX MONITORING 
•PSI Monitoring for all Plants, BU and TML Level
•Modifications and Analysis of Proactive Safety Index
•MIS of all Plants – Leading & Lagging Indicators
•Safety Portal Improvements with TTL & All Plants - II, SO, CM, CSM, InReGo LM etc.
•Coordinate Monthly Safety Reviews with all 7 Plants
•Preparing SHE Council, SHS Committee of Board and Quarterly Board Reviews for Safety

SUPPORT SAFETY MANAGEMENT
Kaizen Monitoring of all Plants and sharing Recommendations for HD
Connecting with vendors for all 3rd party activities like Training, Creatives etc.
Supporting in implementing Corp Sub Committee Actions for Corp Safety
Coordinate with TATA Group for various activities like ARRE etc.
Continuous Incident Analysis and Planning action
Working with Data Analytics team to develop Dashboards on Safety
Data submission of various disclosures like IR, Board Report etc for Safety
CTS Monitoring of all Plants
Monitoring Driving Safety Violations 
Coordinate with TBEM Team on behalf of Corporate Safety to meet all requirements
2nd Party Audits coordination
Coordinate with ACGL, TMSA and TMML for safety improvements
External Award preparation on behalf of Corp Safety
Data Collation and Coordination from all Plants in case of any project/initiative by Corporate Safety
TRAINING
Development of Safety standard E-Module
Create relevant training material/ modules. 
Training needs identification of the different entities.
COMMUNICATION
SHE Post Quarterly issue.
Campaigns - Development of Safety Tweets/Mailers under Safety, Isafe, idrivesafe, iinspire etc 
Develop and implement new initiative on range of communication medium with the help of Corporate Communications team.

Education & Experience
Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Masters in Industrial Safety 
Qualification in Safety Management / Safety Engineering (Diploma In Industrial safety)

Diploma - Other
Bachelor Equivalent - Other in Safety

Work Experience

  • Educational qualifications: Degree in any branch of Engineering / Degree or Diploma in Industrial Safety recognized by Govt                
  • Minimum work experience (in years):  3 Years
