Purpose of the Role

This position will act as a program quality manager and ensure timely completion of FMQ deliverables as defined by GEN3 NPI process in coordination with Product line, Design, Part/ Process development teams.  

This position is responsible for ensuring Quality targets are set for new programs in line with manufacturing strategy/ benchmark trends and supports sign-off process with concern stakeholders quite early in the program facilitating built in quality approach. 

Job Responsibility

1. FMQ Gen3 deliverables completion     

Support completion of FMQ deliverables as per project timelines by driving close coordination within & outside FMQ  

Update program urgencies, build plan to Product Assessment and COC teams for timely completion of their own respective deliverables in the program. 

Review & support qualitative completion of Gen3 deliverables of other functions having direct impact on product quality  

2. Program level Quality Score Card roll out & risk assessment 

Based on set Quality targets map the program progress in Quality Scorecard indicating issue resolution status & product assessment results. 

Identify Quality related risks in the Project, deliverables in Red & key issues 

Escalate in appropriate project forums for mitigation 

3. Requirement module/ Kano model & Benchmarking inputs         

Compile and Provide Platform based Quality levels/ learning on Internal as well External benchmarks for finalizing requirement module/ Quality targets for new programs at DR0 (Conceptual phase) 

Support timely closure of expert jury evaluation (JDP) issues by close coordination with Chief engineer, designer, product development teams & benchmarking with core/ adjacent benchmarks. Thus enhancing customer experience

Internal

Quality Operations  

Pre ESO status of quality targets vs actual, Key issues and closure actions. Ensures smooth transition and achievement of quality targets in production environment.  


Quality Launch Manager/ Plant Launch Team   

Handhold launch quality and support build wise quality target achievement. Resolution of Build issues observed during production build phases by coordination between Design, Part development  & manufacturing teams for launch quality target achievement  
 

Customer Quality  

Defects observed in soft-launches / QRT, resolution status in the new projects through coordination with internal/ external SMEs 
 

FMQ - COC  

Program Wise change part content, timeline & daily urgencies as per project DWM feedbacks, reports of new Proto vehicle quality assessments & issues observed during design maturation phases. HIHR, MIMR part list and status update on QIB/ Learning as per program milestones required for QSC & key issues finalization. 
 

FMQ - Digital Product Assessment & QAP   

Build wise quality assessment plan. Benchmark data for Quality Target setting and Quality assessments results to be taken further in the program for improvement  

External

Product Line   

Regular program updates/ program gate review communications and related documents. Quality deliverable status/ Quality Score Card and will communicate non-conformities/ risks and action plan/ support required 


ERC  

Engineering releases and provide Quality assessment results/ inputs. This position will coordinate with chief engineer/ CoCs for Quality target achievement and will seek solutions for design maturation.  


Supplier Quality   

Quality assessments related to supplier parts (proprietary design). Closure action plans from Supplier Quality.
 

Desired Candidate Profile

Education 

B.E./B.Tech/ (MBA/ PGDM Preferred)

Minimum education qualification    Basic: B.E./ B. Tech. (Any)         

Minimum experience requirement    07-10 years         

Working knowledge requirement    Automobile OEMs / Auto-Ancillary/ Manufacturing Industry; Vehicle Product Knowledge and Functioning of all Aggregates, APQP, Problem Solving Techniques; QMS knowledge, Project management experience
