Position Summary with Job Responsibilities

Position Summary :  This position will be responsible for managing departmental activities related to IPR, managing invention disclosures for protecting Intellectual Property Rights with a specific focus on Patents, Prosecution of IPRs in all jurisdictions, Maintenance of IPRs (renewal/ Annuity),to achieve performance targetsand any other departmental works as assigned.

Job Responsibilities -

IPR Activities (60%):

1.Assessment of invention disclosure for acceptance and classification
2.Conducting/ Reviewing Prior Art search reports, FTO Infringement analysis, Invalidity searches, Technology mapping/ forecasting reports, Market intelligence report based on patent data, etc., before proceeding to next action and provide necessary inputs for revisions if any, and review and revise the drafted patent applications, before filing
3.Drafting/Reviewing Patent application
4.Managing/ preforming activities in relation to Patent,Design,Copyright filing
5.Prosecutionof Patent, Design and Copyright in India and foreign jurisdictions
6.Maintenance of IPRs (Renewal/ Annuity) and updating internal OIDS system
7.Statement of commercial working
8.Liaison with attorneys for timely updating and uploading of documents and other relevant internal agencies
9.Replying to inventors for all queries or status or as required
10.Providing IPR filing details to different agencies as required
Administrative Activities (40%):

1.Rewards & Recognition
2.IPR Management systemdevelopment, resolvingall issues related to the systemand supporting to upgrade the systemon regular basis 
3.Clearing invoices of attorneys and other service providers as per the agreed tariffs and special cases as per the inputs from the concerned departmental colleagues
4.Being a SPoC for complying with departmental requirements including quality system management  or any other assigned projects
5.Complying to the legal requirements in relation to filing or prosecution of IPRs in India and foreign countries  (Copyright docs, PoA, DoA)
Other departmental works as assigned.

Education
Bachelor of Engineering
Work Experience

Minimum 5 Years

Preferred Industry-Automotive or relevant engineering industry or law firm
