Position Summary with Job Responsibilities

Position Summary-

Projects to be Handled : 
1) Capacity ramp up of inhouse machining of Engine Cyl Block & Cyl Heads. 2) Execution of equipments planned under CTQ Project. 3) Projects to be Handled : Planning / Ordering actions on new Machining Line of Cyl Blocks / Heads. 4) Beta aggregate machining of forthcoming new Projects.

Skills required : • Knowledge of Jigs & fixtures
• Cutting tools required for process.
• Auto Cad
• SAP/PLM
• MS word/Excel/Projects
• Basic Knowledge of machining and CNC part  programme.
• Quality Systems,Inspection methods
• MSA
• SPC
• APQP

"            
Responsibilities        
1. Contribution to planning        
"• Primary responsibility of identifying viable Process, Facility creation, Equipment planning for new project as well as capacity enhancement in the engine Shop & machining area.
• Prepare detailed techno commercial proposals highlighting justification, benefits, estimated payback and cost estimations for discussion / approval of Corporate Planning / Senior  Management based on feasibility.
• RFQ preparation, getting Quotation, ordering, DAP, trial at suppliers end & at site for installation & commissioning of facilities. 
• Sources equipment participate in the techno – commercial evaluation of offers / negotiation with vendors, coordinate with selected vendors for supply schedule and installation activities."                    
2. Key actions and decisions (Long term and Short term)        
"• Budget planning for project. Co coordinating with all supporting agency and departments for execution of project. 
• Layout planning and layout option workouts / update the changes for future references.
• Manage the installation and commissioning of the new equipment in conjunction with the suppliers; ensure adequate training to production and maintenance engineers prior to handover.
• Prepare / update Process estimate for existing / new models, PFMEA/PFD/PLM/DPE, Capacity Utilization for Monthly & Yearly production volumes and Knowledge Data Base for the Engine Shop."        
3. Nature of problems faced/ Scope of improvement opportunities        
"• Deciding make or buy for various engine components & supporting Auto ancillary division for component development.
• Supporting  to develop production oriented components to built engine.
• Arrange for asset capitalization through finance division and asset disposal thru disposal cell.
• Group Budget planning & commitment /incurrence monitoring for capital & revenue budget."        

Education

Degree in Engineering in Mechanical or Production
