Purpose of the position

b.What will happen if there is no one in the position (no one performs the work)?
a.This role is responsible for design and development, verification & validation, certification and integration of automated control systems which mainly comprises of sensors, actuators and electronic control circuits for EV powertrain applications. 
b. This role is important to ensure timely delivery of new projects in the fast growing and technologically dynamic Battery Electric & Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles portfolio.

Personal Profile
Education Qualification: BE/ B.Tech / M.Tech (Desirable) in Electronics/  Instrumentation / Mechatronics / Robotics
Competencies (Example)    Electric Vehicles powertrain automated controls system components integration
Preferred to have  Commercial vehicle knowledge
Control systems, Microcontrollers, Circuit design, Sensors and Actuators, Servo motor control, Instrumentation, Automation, and Process control
Knowledge of system integration


Work Experience

Relevant Experience : 
Minimum experience requirement 3 Years +
Preferred work experience in Automotive / Electric Vehicles
work experience in High Voltage system
Working knowledge requirement    Experience in designing automated control systems
Knowledge of rapid prototyping techniques
Familiarity with MATLAB, LabVIEW, or some programming language (C or R).
Knowledge of system integration and assembly
Knowledge in selecting various electronic (ICs, power supplies, motors), mechanical (pumps and valves) and electro-mechanical components (actuators and final control elements)
Should be familiar with understanding datasheets, specifications and technical documentation

1.Plan and finalise agreegate to be developed.
2.Requirement analysis and finalise architecture including sensing, controller and actutaor
3.Plan development steps 
4.Integration and integration testing plan
5.Plan for Testing and validation 
6.Contribute to time plan development Adherence to Quality, Cost & Time parameters at each project gateway.
2Key actions and decisions (Long term and Short term)
1.Conceptualization and design of Mechatronics systems/products as per the requirements
2.Plan and implement the complete development life cycle management for new controls
3.Develop the validation and new test procedures for 
4.Prototype building/assembly.
5.Also responsible for validation of the same
6.Technical Documentation-Prepare and maintain necessary technical documents
7.Visit to customer site at various phases of project to address critical technical issues Adherence to Quality, Cost & Time parameters at each project gateway.
3Nature of problems faced/ Scope of improvement opportunities
1.Benchmark data, architecture, features in automotive domain
2.Co-ordinate with hardware, power electronic team and others for requirements understanding
3.Timely completion of design, development and testing for TCDS gateways and AR gateways
