Position Summary with Job Responsibilities
Purpose of the position
The ADAS lead shall conceptualize, specify and develop strategy for ADAS CoC aggregates and Features to meet program targets of quality, cost & time for entire range of Tata Motors Passenger and Electric vehicles along with development of technologies and competencies for future growth
Key Responsibility & Key Tasks
Innovation and Technology management:
• Keep abreast with latest ADAS Technology trends and relevant technology providers
• Map feasibility of application of new technologies over a ‘time horizon’ and propose the ADAS technology roadmap
• Develop technologies as per approved roadmap
• Execute and document milestones of TCDS process
Develop Capability:
• Create short and medium term engineering capability plans to achieve functional objectives
• Formulate component/aggregate strategy
• Formulate guidelines and best practices for the aggregate based on the learnings from the projects (TGR & TGW).
• Create & update foundation DFMEAs for the aggregate
Education
Work Experience
Relevant Experience :
1) 12+ years of experience in domain of product engineering and development
2) In depth knowledge of ADAS aggregate and technologies
3) Experience of at least 2 full product development cycles on ADAS aggregates and Features
4) Experience of new ADAS technology integration / development
5) The candidate shall lead the team in Design, Development and Verification of ADAS features up to SAE Levels upto L2+ in the next 3 years. Some example Features are Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Keep Assist, Traffic Jam assist (L2+), City Assist (L2+), Highway Assist (L2+) etc. Work on ADAS Level 3+ concept and architecture shall happen in the parallel.
6) The scope would involve Perception, Control systems (Engine, Braking and Steering system along with ADAS) design, development and Verification of above-mentioned Features.
